Amphibious Avatars

One of my most detailed 3D characters to date was never really intended to be utilized for animation, but instead as a friend's VRChat avatar. A cartoonish frog wearing suspenders and plaid who was somewhat of a trucker I believe. Creating this character took a lot of considerations in terms of texturing; since I didn't know how to layer textures in Blender yet I plotted my UV maps to sit exactly as planned so I could tile a few repeating textures like plaid and the denim texture on the pants, most everything else was painted by hand in Krita, other than the character's tongue for which I just inverted the values and hue-shifted the texture of an orange.

The model would feature 15 different shape-keys to account for every phenome required in VRChat. There was also plans to have eye tracking and blinking, but the methods I game up relied on Blender's shrinkwrap modifier and couldn't be transferred over to unity. Additionally while this model is rigged, it's not fully fleshed out with bone controls for animation in blender.
