Grooming your Hare

Sometime around 2019 I was very into Rango and wanted to make my own character inspired by the movie. While I'm aware of Doc Kenny, the jack rabbit doctor of the town of Dirt, I went with a design thats a bit more in line with a jackrabbit. Compared to your typical bunny they're much leaner in appearance so I attempted to reflect that by sculpting the body in the form of an old man. Of course I didn't realize to merge the old man anatomy with that of a digitigrade to better emphasize anthropomorphism, instead I assumed slapping on different styles of rabbit feet would suffice. After I had my base mesh though I decided this would be my first attempt at using hair particles and went right to work on grooming the character. This was well before the new hair system introduced in Blender 4.0, but I managed to make it work with the tools of the time. In total there's likely three hair groups on this model; the short hair that covers the surface of the head, the longer facial hair on the snout, and the longer tufts in the ears.
